Hello, I’m Mark Watson and together with my wife Sue we run Dorset Carers Hub in Trinity House, Trinity Street, Dorchester. I am also a Trustee for The Leonardo Trust in Broadstone which is the only local charity supporting unpaid carers. As you can tell supporting carers is important to me especially as I am a carer for my wife, and she is a carer for our son.

My wife and I have seven children, three grandchildren and two dogs so life is quite hectic most of the time. I was born in Bournemouth and came to West Dorset when I was 13. I managed to persuade my wife to join me here in Dorset and we have never looked back and are incredibly happy here together with our family in this wonderful place of the country.

I have an Undergraduate Degree in Heritage Conservation and a Master’s Degree in Applied Sciences by Research with which I had hoped to develop my career but unfortunately my wife’s debilitating condition meant that I needed to become her carer full time.

Community Share is an exciting strategic partnership with which the Hub looks forward to working with.
