Hi I’m Sue Watson and together with my husband Mark we run Dorset Carers Hub here in Dorchester. We started the hub with just a coffee morning every Friday held at the Storehouse Church, which very quickly grew into needing to open the hub base in Trinity House, Trinity Street, Dorchester. We spend most of our time supporting unpaid carers in whatever way they need us from a listening ear to benefits advice, housing support advise to supplying carers with occasional gifts and social events.

Together me and Mark have seven children and three grandchildren, we are a very close family and to us family is everything. We have raised our children to be helpful and kind as after all, manners cost nothing.

I am not originally from Dorset. I moved here from Hertfordshire in 2007 after meeting my husband and have never looked back. I love Dorset and can truly say I would never move out of this wonderful part of the country.

I hold a degree in Psychology (Counselling) but have also spent many years working in retail management prior to my degree where my attention to detail and work ethic come from.

I look forward to growing with Community Share and seeing where this wonderful journey takes us all.
